Summary Biography: Jennifer primarily defends engineers in a variety of complex construction claims. She acted for Golder Associates in the Red Hill Valley Parkway Inquiry and has acted for a number of large engineering firms in Arbitrations litigated to successful outcomes. Focusing on early production and technical analysis, Jennifer is experienced in managing complex multi-party construction disputes to successful resolution.
Although practicing primarily as defence counsel now, Jennifer has represented both plaintiffs and defendants in construction claims, including construction liens, breach of trust, deficiency and delay claims, as well as a wide variety of commercial litigation, including shareholders’ disputes, fraud claims, litigation involving investment dealers/brokers, intellectual property and technology litigation, guarantees, mortgages as well as bankruptcy and insolvency. Jennifer has appeared before all levels of the Ontario Courts.
Jennifer’s speaking engagements include Osgoode Hall Law School Professional Development, the Ontario Bar Association; the Advocates Society and the Association of Consulting Engineering Companies.
